USB MiniBase

  • The USB MiniBase is in charge of the wireless network in which it is operating.

  • Receives data from Mobile Modules and MiniStations Remotes.

  • Supports a maximum of 50 unique MiniStation Remotes and an unlimited number of Mobile Modules.

  • Configured by an easy-to-use Windows setup program.

  • Powered by the USB port and does not need separate AC adapter.

  • Field upgradeable firmware.

  • Range is 100 feet.

  • WedgeLink Xpress included at no additional charge.  Allows you to transfer your wireless measurements directly to applications such as Microsoft Excel.  This is a special version of our WedgeLink software keyboard wedge.

About the USB MiniBase
The USB MiniBase connects directly to a USB port on a PC or a laptop.  It is powered by the USB port and does not need a separate AC adapter.  The range of the USB MiniBase is up to 100 feet while the the MiniStation is 300 feet.  The USB MiniBase can only operate as a Base unit, while the MiniStation can operate as a Base or a Remote unit.  The USB MiniBase uses the same setup and test software as the MiniStation.

Front View

  • The front panel consists of 6 status LEDs.

  • The function of each LED is indicated on the label on the top of the unit.

  • The 3 green LEDs on the left show the RF signal strength of the data received from a Universal Mobile Module or MiniStation Remote.

  • The red/yellow/green LEDs on the right indicate data error, data reception and power on status.

 


Back View

  • The back panel consists of a reset button, USB connector and read switch connector.

  • A read switch (hand switch, foot switch, etc.) can be used to associate a Universal Mobile Module with a USB MiniBase in the field.
