The M3 Wireless Connector for Duplex Opto gages is the link between your Fowler, Sylvac, or other Duplex Opto-equipped instrument and the MobileCollect Wireless measurement collection system. The connector attaches directly to the gage’s Duplex Opto data output port and plugs into a Mini Mobile Module EVO (M3E) transmitter, replacing a wired cable run with a wireless setup. Readings transmit wirelessly from the transmitter to a MobileCollect Base receiver connected to a PC or data collection workstation.
This connector exists solely because the Duplex Opto gage port uses a different pin assignment than Simplex Opto — the Mini Mobile Module EVO transmitter does not implement the command set needed to use Duplex Opto’s two-way capability, so functionally this cable operates exactly like the Simplex Opto version: one-way measurement output from the gage to the transmitter.
The Duplex Opto interface is used across several gage manufacturers — not exclusively Fowler and Sylvac. Available in two lengths: 3.5″ and 6.5″. Transmitter compatibility: This M3 cable is fully compatible with both the current Mini Mobile Module EVO M3E transmitter and the retired M3 transmitter. No adapter, firmware change, or configuration required — it plugs directly into either.

This cable supports TriggerSync. TriggerSync is a measurement mode where a reading is triggered from the MobileCollect Base Receiver or directly from your SPC application, without a manual button press at the gage. TriggerSync will enable automated data collection across all of your digital gages.
Q: What is the difference between the Duplex Opto and Simplex Opto versions of this connector?
— Wiring only. The Duplex Opto gage port uses a different pin assignment than Simplex Opto, so a Simplex Opto cable will not connect correctly to a Duplex Opto gage. Functionally, this connector operates identically to the Simplex Opto version — one-way measurement output from the gage to the Mini Mobile Module EVO transmitter. The transmitter does not use the Duplex Opto interface’s two-way command set.
