The G-LP-MIT is a MicroRidge-designed and manufactured interface cable that connects CDI Logic IQ, Logic ALG, Logic Plus, and Logic Basic gages — as well as the Starrett 2700 series — to the standard Mitutoyo Digimatic ecosystem. MicroRidge developed this cable to bridge these instruments’ SPC output ports to the Mitutoyo Digimatic 10-pin interface, enabling direct connection to any GageWay wired interface or MobileCollect Digital Remote for automated SPC data collection.
This is not a standalone product. The G-LP-MIT cable terminates at a gage interface — a GageWay or Digital Remote sits between the cable and your computer and is required to pass data to any SPC software or collection application. If you’re not sure which interface fits your setup, the two most common configurations are detailed below.
The G-LP-MIT is compatible with the following instruments:

The G-LP-MIT and the G-LP-MIT-P are both compatible with the CDI Logic Plus and use the same Mitutoyo Digimatic compatible output format. The difference is power delivery:
The G-LP-MIT (this cable) runs the gage on its own battery and is compatible with CDI Logic IQ, Logic ALG, Logic Basic, and Starrett 2700 gages in addition to the Logic Plus. Best for handheld or portable setups where the gage moves between measurement points, or any fixed station setup using a GageWay SM.
The G-LP-MIT-P powers the CDI Logic Plus directly from the interface — eliminating the need to monitor or replace the gage battery. This is the preferred choice for fixed measurement stations where the Logic Plus remains plugged in continuously. Note that the G-LP-MIT-P is Logic Plus only and is not compatible with other CDI Logic or Starrett 2700 gages.
If you are running the Logic Plus in a fixed station with continuous operation requirements, the G-LP-MIT-P is the correct cable. If you need flexibility across multiple CDI Logic or Starrett 2700 gage models, or are using a GageWay SM, use this cable.
The G-LP-MIT cable is the standard connection cable for the full GageWay wired interface product line. GageWay interfaces support the Mitutoyo Digimatic output natively — no baud rate configuration or communication parameters required. Plug the G-LP-MIT into the gage input port on your GageWay, connect the interface to your PC via USB, and the gage is online.
GageWay Pro2, Pro4, Pro8 — Multi-channel interfaces supporting 2, 4, or 8 gages simultaneously via a single USB connection. Both USB keyboard wedge and USB serial outputs are built in. The Pro series includes configurable read switch ports, data parsing, TIR measurement modes, and AutoBaud detection for RS-232 devices. Best fit for fixed inspection stations, multi-gage measurement cells, and control plan implementations under ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100D where measurement traceability and process integration requirements are defined.
GageWay SM — Single-gage interface with USB serial output. Outputs to any SPC application monitoring a COM port. Pre-configured for Mitutoyo Digimatic gages — plug-and-play with no parameter setup.
GageWay KW — Single-gage interface with keyboard wedge output. Sends measurement data as keystrokes into Excel, cloud-based SPC platforms, or any application that accepts keyboard input.
Note: The G-LP-MIT is available in 6-foot length only. If you need a custom length, contact us at sales@microridge.com.
The G-LP-MIT is also compatible with the MobileCollect Digital Remote for installations where the gage is stationary and wired into a MobileCollect system rather than a standalone GageWay interface. The Digital Remote provides two-way Digimatic communication — it can receive measurement data from the gage and initiate readings remotely, similar in function to the Command Mobile Module but over a wired connection.
This configuration is most applicable for fixed measurement stations integrated into a larger MobileCollect Wireless network, where the gage itself doesn’t move but the data still needs to route through the MobileCollect infrastructure. For the majority of single-station or multi-station wired setups, a GageWay interface is the more direct and cost-effective path.
If your measurement application is better served by wireless SPC data collection, MicroRidge offers wireless connector alternatives for these CDI and Starrett gage families — replacing the wired cable with a wireless transmitter connector:
M3 Connector — CDI Logic IQ & Logic ALG — For the Mini Mobile Module EVO (M3E) wireless transmitter. Readings are triggered from the transmitter body. Best for handheld or portable gages used across multiple measurement points.
DC Connector — CDI Logic IQ & Logic ALG — For the Command Mobile Module (DC) wireless transmitter. Supports simultaneous multi-gage triggering from the MobileCollect Base or SPC software — common in large fixtures or multi-point inspection setups.
