MobileCollect eliminates the cable between gage and computer. It makes it easier to bring your gage to what is being measured, rather than bringing what is being measured to your gage. Collect measurements with handheld gages (calipers, digital indicators, micrometers, etc.) and other instruments, and send wirelessly to your PC.
A MobileCollect wireless system consists of Mobile Modules and/or Remotes (transmitters) and Bases (receivers). Both Mobile Module and Remote Transmitters require the correct cable to interface between the Transmitter and device.
With MobileCollect you’re not restricted by gage brand or the number of transmitters you can pair to a base receiver. This flexibility continues with our two transmitter options including battery powered Mobile Modules for portable devices and USB powered Remotes for stationary devices. In addition to this, we have various Base Receiver options depending on the needs of your software application and if you’re using the base on a mobile device such as a tablet.
We have a suite of software applications for configuring and enhancing the power of the MobileCollect System. If you have specific technical needs, chances are we can accommodate them.
MobileCollect offers you the flexibility to incorporate over 3,500 different gages into a single wireless measurement collection system. This includes both digital and RS-232 gages from various manufactures. We created the MobileCollect Selection Tool so you can verify what is needed to connect your gage to a MobileCollect System. If you don’t see your gage, you can always email sales@microridge.com and we’ll let you know what is needed to bring your gage online.Â
MobileCollect Base Receivers accept measurements from Mobile Module and Remote Transmitters and transfer the measurement to any software application on a PC, PLC, tablet or mobile device. The MicroBase EVO USB A, MicroBase USB C and Wedge Base EVO are Keyboard Wedge enabled, meaning they can send measurement data to any software application through either Keyboard Wedge or USB Serial Output. The RS-232 Base EVO outputs via both USB Serial and RS-232 Serial via a DB9 connection.
MobileCollect Transmitters are connected directly to the measurement device and transmit data to the Base Receiver. Mobile Modules are battery powered and used when mobility is key. Remotes are USB powered and used when you would like to capture data from stationary devices. Mini Mobile Module EVOs (M3E) are the go-to transmitter for digital gages. Command Mobile Modules (DC), RS-232 Remotes and Digital Remotes are used when you want to initiate a gage reading remotely from a Base Receiver or a computer. RS-232 V2 Mobile Modules (V2) and RS-232 Remotes are used to connect RS-232 devices. All MobileCollect Transmitters can be used on the same system!
Mobile Module Transmitters and Remote Transmitters need connectors in order to connect to the gage. With the use of custom and modified OEM cables MobileCollect can connect to over 3,500 gages from manufactures including Mitutoyo, Mahr Federal, Ono Sokki, Fowler, INSIZE, Starrett, Sylvac, Ohaus, Mettler Toledo and more!
The Mini Mobile Module EVO and the legacy Mini Mobile Module M3 use two connector variants — the M3 (2×3, 6-pin) and the M3E (2×4, 8-pin). Both connector types are field-replaceable.
